Långa Längan is, as the name suggests, a “long” detached building between the farm’s main building and the edge of the forest.

In Långa Längan there are two spacious bedrooms – one at each end of the building – with two wide and comfortable beds in each room. There are also mirrors and dressing table. One room has an en suite toilet. A few steps down the hallway, there is a full bathroom with a bath and shower that is shared by the two bedrooms. There is also a shower and washing machine.

Lounge room
The accommodation is well-furnished and decorated with local art works. The living room has a comfortable, Finnish lounge room suite in leather on a beautiful Persian carpet as well a large television. There is also acombustion stove to warm both heart and soul.

From the living room you have direct access to the patio facing south which overlooks the lily pond. From the kitchen there is direct access to a further patio at the rear of the building. The patio is private from almost every direction but still gets the sun all afternoon. There is a large, spacious dining table and a fixed-position barbecue.

The kitchen is furnished in solid oak and has a dining area for 4-6 people. It is modern and equipped with a fridge/freezer, dishwasher, stove and microwave. In addition, there is a well-functioning wood stove if you want to be reminded of the ‘old’ way of doing things.

After having travelled around Sweden for more than 15 years, from south to north, we finally came to Skyttåsa Forest . A fantastic, wonderful place, beautiful nature and accommodation that surpasses most. A beautiful building, tastefully decorated, with everything one could wish for. There is everything one needs here for a peaceful and relaxing holiday. We can highly recommend this place.

PS: A little hard to find here if you do not have GPS. But well worth it.

Ivo and Marjanne van Diemen , coming from Heenwarden in Holland slept here in Aurinkolahti . We were surprised by the beautiful house with lovely beds and of course the beautiful nature surrounding us . Last night we went for a small walk and we did see a deer, my husband did swim in the lake nearby .
We could hear a lot of different birds, but we did not see them. Clever birds! In the morning we ate this great breakfast and at the end all I can say: It is a good stay at this place! Thank you for that!

I enjoyed staying at
SkyttåssaForest . It’s a excellent accommodation in a really quiet and peaceful environment (except of course when a rally is going on). Saw a lot of interesting things: beautiful castels , citys and villages. I wish all of you the best and thanks for your hospitality!

We have had a lovely night here and were served a fine breakfast in the morning. The rooms were clean and tidy. The hosts are friendly and hospitable.

• Exclusive, pleasant and comfortable accommodation
• Beautiful surroundings
• The opportunity to self-cater is well suited to families with children
• Peaceful and pretty
• Emphasis on site attractions and places of interest in the neighborhood (the mine, the charcoal kiln, the restaurant)
“Näckrosleden” (The Water-lily trail) (it is possible to ride a bike here from Mariefred )
In appreciation!

We think that this property has suited us perfectly, modern and comfortable. Good play areas out there for the kids, well-contained indoor areas with their own bedroom and toilet. Also good for we “oldies” to have had our own space. A TV with multiple channels has kept the kids busy in the evenings. Fun to be able to play table tennis. Everything we needed was here.

Note: The proximity to riding was a big plus!
